This is Colin. We adopted him from the Sonoma County Humane Society. His mother is a purebred German Shepherd, his father a Mastiff (I think British Brindled based on pictures I researched). Yes he is very cute.
This is Colin showing off his $6700.10 staples from emergency surgery when his stomach flipped and he had to spend 6 days at the emergency vet in July.
And this is Colin in his awesome t shirt that covers the $700 worth of stitches he got on Saturday from possibly running through a piece of barbed wire fence.
Notice that leash? Colin may never get off it again if he keeps this kind of stuff up!
Yes he is big, his legs are as long as my arms and he weighs 115lbs at the moment. For perspective that's the back of my baby suv he's standing next to.
Aren't they fun?????
I am currently persona non grata to one of my cousins and one of her children. Yes I was decidedly unadult in the comments that got me to this state but I have apologized several times to no avail. I simply no longer exist in their world.
This state of affairs made my Uncle George's funeral last Saturday quite interesting. During the part of the service where the Priest asked for comments my cousin stood up, looked at me and mentioned me by name. Great I thought maybe one of the apologies took! Not so much.
At the party after the funeral I was totally ignored. It was really quite funny because at one point I was sitting at another table the gave me a direct view of both of them but apparently I was not really there.
But such is life and as I've said it's their loss because I'm a pretty cool person to know.
Except you wouldn't know that if you took a look at my knee caps!
I had crossed the street heading toward my car, not looking where I was walking and took a spectacular fall right on my hands and knees. In front of a bar no less. The hands were spared the knees, not so much.
Now in addition to explaining the mess on my nose I also get to explain the mess on my knees.
Speaking of my nose it finally cultured out some nasty bacterial infection as I was prescribed double strength Septra for a month. Unfortunately I'm having a nice allergic reaction to it. A lovely rash on my chest, back, arms and hands. OMG my hands itch so badly I can barely stand it.
Otherwise it's a lovely summer day. My tomatoes are growing although they may never turn red if we don't get some hot weather and the deer don't eat them.
